Meet the requirements - easy implementation of calibration standard production

The preparation of working standards for calibration in analytical laboratories is a repetitive, labor-intensive task. The requirements for preparation and documentation are regulated for pesticide analysis in SANTE document 12682/2019. In this lecture, the CHRONECT Workstation MultiMix will be presented, which fulfills all requirements in an automated workflow: from cool and dark storage of the standards and mixing, to the protection of the septa. The most important factor is data integrity, which is automatically guaranteed by the software and a substance catalogue management.

SFC-MS/MS vs LC-MS/MS for the pesticide residue analysis in food samples

Supercritical fluid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (SFC-MS/MS) has proved to be an efficient alternative to reverse-phase liquid chromatography (RPLC). A detailed study has been made using the same mass spectrometer coupled to both types of chromatography. How the different substance groups and their polarity behaves in each technic were studied. In addition, temperature, matrix effect, and sensitivity evaluations were performed. In the end, a comprehensive evaluation of the benefits and drawbacks of these chromatography modes for routine pesticide residue analysis related to target compounds/commodities is provided.
