The Trajan Group acquires Axel Semrau
On November 18, 2021, Trajan Group Holdings Limited completed the acquisition of Axel Semrau GmbH and the associated buildings of Semrau Immobilien GmbH.
The German GmbH will continue to exist as part of Trajan Group Holdings Limited (Trajan) and operate from Germany. Dr. Andreas Bruchmann and Frank Sasse will remain as employed managing directors.
All contracts with employees, partners and suppliers will keep valid. The distribution of laboratory equipment such as Teledyne ISCO flash instruments and the odorization control/natural gas analysis business will also be maintained.
Axel Semrau stands for laboratory automation, especially with the CHRONECT brand. For example, with 185 systems sold since 2010, Axel Semrau is the global market leader in the automation of MOSH/MOAH analysis.
Trajan will invest in staff, software and hardware platforms to deliver the next generation of Axel Semrau products and services. This will support the delivery of those solutions to the global market.
More broadly together the two companies can execute a more coordinated expansion of laboratory automation solutions across the food, environmental, clinical and pharma/bio pharma markets globally.
Founder retires from the company
Mr. Axel Semrau will now completely withdraw from the company's activities and enjoy his retirement. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank him.
With enthusiasm and passion he has built up a company which has grown from a pure sales partner to a manufacturer of its own solutions.
It is particularly noteworthy that in this technically-oriented company, the focus is always on people. Employees are individually supported and can thus contribute to the company's success. Solutions are developed for users.
Andreas Bruchmann and Frank Sasse have continued to lead the company under this philosophy and have made it possible for the company to grow.
Better together
As proud as we are of the growth we have achieved, it also holds many new challenges. Challenges that we, as a medium-sized, owner-managed company, no longer wanted to face alone.
Trajan and Axel Semrau have been working closely together for some time. Our goals and aspirations complement each other: at Trajan, too, the focus is on people. Corporate culture and values of both companies are similar, so we could find many synergies.
